Discharge Procedure

The default check-out time at both Gleneagles Hospital and Parkway East Hospital is at 11 am. For Mount Elizabeth Hospital, the default check-out time is at 11.30am. An additional half-day’s room rate will be charged for check-outs after the default check-out time but before 8 pm. Thereafter, a full day's rate will be levied.

Your interim hospitalisation bill will be ready for your perusal prior to your discharge. The final bill will be sent to you within six to eight weeks. Payment can be made at the Cashier's counter at the hospital lobby. Any charges or credits not processed upon discharge will be billed at a later time. Should your deposit exceed hospital charges, payment made via credit card will be refunded to the credit card, and payment made via cash or NETS will be refunded via cheques.

Making Payment

Your bill will be presented to you prior to discharge and should be fully settled by the time of discharge. Typically, the entire payment process takes anywhere up to two hours, depending on the components of your stay.

ParkwayHealth accepts all the common modes of payment, including those by cash, personal cheque, credit cards, and NETS. If your bill is to be settled by your employer or insurance company, a letter of guarantee/hospitalisation identity card from the employer or insurance company should be submitted during registration. The room type (single room, two-bedded room, etc.) and your NRIC/passport number should be clearly stated on the letter.

A gentle reminder: any letter of guarantee from a company or insurance provider which does not have credit arrangements with the Hospital will not be accepted.
