NEW HOSPITAL IN MUMBAI

Project Mumbai is a greenfield joint-venture project (50/50) between Koncentric Investments Ltd and Parkway Group Healthcare Pte Ltd to build a leading 500-bed (75 beds for charity) international-standard tertiary hospital with world-class facilities in Juhu, Andheri West, North Mumbai, India, with our local partner, Dr Prakash Khubchandani.

The official technical agreement to establish, implement, and operate the hospital project was signed on 29 July 2008.

THE CONCEPT
This aesthetically modern and high-tech hospital will encompass Parkway’s standards of care, services, and clinical outcomes.

The hospital will help enhance Parkway's presence in the Indian market, which presents great opportunities for market growth due to its large, ageing population, emerging economy, increasing affluence, better hygiene, and epidemiological changes. Furthermore, Mumbai is the economic hub of India, and Juhu is an affluent residential area, home to the rich middle income group (49% of households will fall into this category by 2010). It is close to the domestic and international airports, and is the preferred destination for domestic and international tourists.

THE DESIGN
The twin-tower design of the hospital was conceived by renowned architectural firm HKS, Inc. In addition to the hospital, there will be a Medical Office Building (MOB) on site.
